I believe an artist’s work often tells us more about an artist than an interview. Though I do not know him personally, from looking at his work I would describe Cristian Ordóñez as a curious person. Ordóñez explores different media in order to stay versatile and free to delve into eclecticism. He paints, draws, photographs and creates graphics.

His creative process leans on context, time and media. Some paintings rest for a few months before completion while drawings can be made in a matter of hours – it depends on the idea, what is needed and available. As Ordóñez declared, each piece has a different creative process influenced by the media: ‘for me they have a double life, but at the end they have a texture and volume that makes sense, in this case I think the media is what dictates the final result.’
